WHAT'S THE DIFFERENCE?

Traditional vs. Low Impact Paintball

ASK A QUESTION

If you're wondering what differences there are between traditional paintball and low impact paintball, you've come to the right place. We will help you sort out the details so you choose the best option of play for you!

Note:  You will only play with others who are using the same equipment as you. There is no mixing of equipment during play. All Low Impact players will play together and all Traditional players will play together.

AGE RECOMMENDATIONS

Low Impact games are designed for ages 7 years and up. While the age for traditional paintball is 10 years and up. Traditional paintball equipment is larger and more cumbersome for smaller kids.

PAIN LEVEL

Low Impact provides all the same fun and excitement as traditional paintball, with 67% less energy on impact! Less energy means less sting when you're hit.

PAINTBALL SIZE

Low Impact paintballs are .50 caliber and much smaller than the traditional paintballs which are .68 caliber. The different paintball sizes are made specifically for the each type of marker size, so Low Impact paintballs can only be used in Low Impact paintball markers.

SPEED RATE (FPS)

Velocity Paintball Park sets the Low Impact speed at 170-200fps (feet per second), whereas traditional paintball guns are set at 285fps. Slower speeds combined with paintball size allow for fun play with less pain.
